Shipping Policy

We know waiting for yarn is hard. We’ll do our best not to make you suffer any longer than necessary.

Processing Times

Ready-to-ship orders are typically packed and shipped within 1–2 business days. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day.

If an item has a different processing time—such as a preorder, dyed-to-order item, or special release—we’ll clearly note that on the product listing.

Dyed-to-order products made just for you are 1-3 business days of processing/dyeing time before shipment.

Free Shipping

Orders of $75 or more qualify for free standard shipping within the United States after discounts and before applicable taxes.

Orders under $75 will have available shipping options and rates displayed at checkout.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order ships, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information so you can obsessively refresh it while pretending you aren’t obsessively refreshing it.

Please allow a little time for tracking information to update after your package has been accepted by the carrier.

Please Check Your Address

Please double-check your shipping address before placing your order.

If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible. If your order has not yet shipped, we’ll do our best to correct it. Once a package has been shipped, we may not be able to change or redirect the delivery address.

Orders returned to us because of an incorrect or incomplete address may require additional shipping charges to be sent again.

Delayed, Missing, or Damaged Packages

Once a package has been accepted by the shipping carrier, delivery delays can occasionally happen that are outside our control.

If your tracking information shows something unusual or your package appears to be significantly delayed, please contact us and we’ll help you figure out the best next step.

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and include photos of the package and damaged items so we can help make things right.

A Note About Hand-Dyed Yarn

Every skein from The Skinny Sheep Yarn Co. is dyed by hand in small batches. That means your yarn may have slight variations from skein to skein—even within the same colorway.

We think that’s part of the magic.

For projects using multiple skeins of the same colorway, alternating skeins can help blend those beautiful little differences throughout your project.
