FAQ
What makes hand-dyed yarn special?
Every skein is dyed by hand in small batches, creating layered color and subtle variation. No two skeins are exactly alike, which gives every project its own character.
Will my skeins match?
Because my yarn is hand-dyed, I recommend alternating skeins every few rows when working with multiple skeins to blend any natural variation beautifully. Every effort will be made to select skeins as close to matching as possible prior to shipment for multiple skein orders.
What fibers do you use?
My collection includes GOTS-certified organic merino, superwash merino and nylon, and some luxurious options such as mohair and silk if you're feeling fancy. Each product listing includes the fiber details for that particular yarn.
How should I care for my hand-dyed yarn?
In general, hand-wash finished pieces gently in cool water with a mild wool wash, then lay flat to dry. Avoid twisting or wringing (especially with non-superwash fibers).
Do you wind yarn into balls?
My yarn ships in skeins, but I can certainly wind it for you. Just send me a message and ask!
Will sold-out colorways come back?
Many colorways return in small batches, but availability can vary with the fiber and dye schedule. Please reach out to me with any requests. I save all of my recipes and if I have time, I may be able to bring a colorway back just for you.
Can I request a custom colorway?
I love hearing what you're dreaming up! Send me a note with your idea, and I'll let you know what may be possible. Luckily, I'm still a small enough operation that if you want a specific looking sweater quantity of yarn, I can probably create it for you.
How can I get help with my order?
For questions about an order, product details, a special request, or choosing the right yarn, please reach out through our contact page which also includes alternate ways to reach me. I'm happy to help!
